Advising Unsuccessful Candidates
What to do with the unsuccessful Interview Candidates:
- For all candidates interviewed you as the Hiring Manager (or someone on the interview panel) must inform the candidates verbally they were unsuccessful. WHY? Because it gives candidates a chance to get feedback from someone they met on the interview panel.
- Please let the Recruitment Consultant know when you have done this so that these candidates can then be sent a decline email from Taleo.
- You may want to keep a second, appointable candidate on hold in case the first one does not accept the offer.
- Sometimes you might find that unsuccessful applicants are unhappy with your decision and may request feedback. You need to be clear and to the point. If you need advise on what to say or feel that you are being harassed by an unsuccessful applicant then contact your Recruitment Consultant or HR Advisor.
Here is a checklist to make sure you have completed everything?
