The Children's Act worker safety checking requirements came into force on 1 July 2015.

The main requirements of a safety check include

  • Additional Interview Questions
  • Additional Reference Questions
  • Identity check two forms of ID
  • Risk assessment
  • NZ Police Vetting completed prior to start date
